Tech Upgrades
Thanks to a few fellow geeks, I now understand why my inner nerd has been depressed. Behold, this article.
a nerd is defined by his computer… [he] has based his career, maybe his life, on the computer, and as we’ll see, this intimate relationship has altered his view of the world.
I’m a nerd without a computer. There are few things less tragic. My cave is lacking, and it’s because I don’t have a properly functioning, shiny desktop readily available.
This will change, fellow nerds. Come tax return time, that is. Mr. Anderson will be replaced by a brand new, 21.5″ iMac, 500GB HD, 8GB RAM. World, be ready to welcome John Galt. As he is already named, you know it’s serious.
Also, I believe I have finally settled on the Canon MP560 for my next printer, as my current one… kind of sucks. A little more than I planned to spend, but I’ll probably be getting a printer rebate with my computer purchase. Yay, $50 printer!
See, even thinking about my technology upgrades lifts my geeky spirits. If I’m really bold, I’ll replace my iPod, too. (Though I do enjoy bragging about my ancient 4GB nano.)
